Assistant Professor Memorial University of Newfoundland
Eric Thiessen
I am currently examining tectonics and metamorphic processes in orogenic systems from the Archean Superior craton, Archean to Proterozoic Canadian Shield and the Paleozoic Appalachian mountains. Please reach out to me if you are interested in pursuing graduate or post-doctoral research. My post-doc work focused on fault and shear zone processes and mechanisms of gold mineralization in the southwestern Superior craton, Abitibi greenstone belt and the Kapuskasing structural zone. Prior to this work I received a PhD from Simon Fraser University, a MSc from the University of Alberta and a BSc from Queen's University.
