Recruitment
I am actively looking for motivated and qualified students or post-docs to join my research group at MUN. If you have interests in structural geology, shear zones, tectonics, mountain building, metamorphic petrology, field mapping and geochronology please get in touch about potential research projects. Current potential projects include research in the Canadian Shield of Northwest Territories, Ontario's Abitibi province, the Newfoundland Appalachians and tectonics and REE mineralization in southeast Labrador.
Current Research Group
Kiera Hamel MSc 2023-
Kiera's MSc project will look at the kinematics and ages of various exhumation-related structures in the Rae craton. Kiera will combine microstructural analysis with U-Pb and Rb-Sr isotopic dating.
